I would give advice to first have a tripod and make sure your camera doesn’t move much as this can create too much blur and ruin many photos. Another piece of advice I would give would be to take photos at the moment of important actions like the leg extending to kick a ball, or someone putting out their hands to catch a football, these actions are better at telling a story than just any random and less important actions.
